Registered Certificates for BRITISH OVERSEAS SUBJECTS

If you require a replacement Certificate for a British citizen who was born, married or died overseas (including British Armed Forces) you may order an official duplicate through our online service and a search of the overseas registered indexes will be conducted to locate the entry. (This does not include registrations in Ireland, please visit our Irish section for events registered in Northern Ireland and the Irish Republic).

We are only able to supply certificates for Births, Marriages and Deaths registered at the time with the relevant British authorities (British Forces, Consul, High Commission) in the country where the event took place. Registration with the British authorities is not compulsory and our record search will establish whether this occurred.
