however if both subjects surnames are known, the indexes will be cross checked to locate an exact match)
- From Jan 1912 subject and spouse details
- District where marriage was registered
- Quarter & Year that marriage was registered (Eg Jan-March 1908)
- GRO Reference details
BRITISH OVERSEAS
British Overseas marriage records search results will provide the following information:
- Forename and Surname of Subject (from 1815-1910 spouse name is not shown, however if both subjects surnames are known, the indexes will be cross checked to locate an exact match)
- From 1911, subject and spouse details
- Place where marriage was registered
- Year that marriage was registered
- GRO Reference details
SCOTLAND
Scottish marriage records search results (when both Parties of the marriage are known) will provide the following information:
- Forename(s) and Surname of Groom
- Forename(s) and Maiden Surname of Bride
- Marital status, occupation, residence and age of both Bride & Groom
- Date and Place of marriage
- Parents of couple details including full names, occupation
- Witnesses
- Registrar details
When only one subject of the marriage is known, we will email our search results and ask you to choose the couple you would like to receive the full information on.
