ENGLAND & WALES

The England & Wales birth records search will provide the following information:

• Forename and Surname of Subject (middle names may be registered just as initials)
• Mothers Maiden Surname (from July 1911)
• District where Birth was registered
• Quarter & Year that Birth was registered (Eg: Jan-March 1908)
• GRO Reference details

BRITISH OVERSEAS

British Overseas birth records search results will provide the following information:

• Forename and Surname of Subject (middle names may be registered just as initials)
• Mothers Maiden Surname (from 1966)
• City/State where birth was registered
• Year birth was registered
• GRO Reference details

SCOTLAND

Scotland birth records searches are carried out in TWO parts

Part 1 - The initial results emailed to you will contain the following information:-

• Year of registration
• Forename and Surname of Subject
• Sex of child
• District and City/County/MR

Part 2 - In the cases of more than one possible match we ask you to choose the subject for which you require further details and the following information will be emailed:-

• Forename and Surname
• Date and Time of birth
• Place of birth
• Name and Occupation of Father (if registered)
• Name and Maiden Surname of Mother (occupation of Mother may be entered if unmarried or, if Fathers details not registered)
• Date and Place of Marriage (if parents married and fathers details registered)
• Informant details
• Date and where registered
• Name of Registrar
• GROS Reference details
